Essential Conversations with Alan Watts is a series of six color programs recorded by Mark Watts in 1972 featuring the philosopher at home aboard the ferryboat Vallejo and at his retreat above Muir Woods on Mt. Tamalpais. As archival video the images tend to be toward grainy. However the performances and contents are excellent, and include commentaries on social conventions and our most repressed sense not seen anywhere since the early seventies (Clothing and Do You Smell?).
